General Meetings

Board Elections:

June 26th at 5:00 PM - We will be holding our annual elections for the board and a potluck dinner. Please come out and show your support of the group and bring a dish to share.

We are looking for people to become involved with the board. There is an opening for president-elect. If you are interested in getting involved in the planning for the future of the group, please come to this meeting.

MAY
May 15: Community Plant Exchange - 10:15 AM - 12:00 noon
Location: Borough Parking Lot on Lansdowne Ave.
Bring plants starting at 10:15 AM, the exchange will last from 10:30-12 noon.
For every plant someone brings, they will receive a ticket good for one plant to take home. Beginning at 11:45 any remaining plants may be available for purchase for $1 each, for those who don't have plants to bring to the exchange.

May 16: Mosaic Mirror Class - 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM - CLASS FULL

May 23: The Times of Harvey Milk - 1:00 PM - Lansdowne Library
No Place for Hate is hosting the movie, "The Times of Harvey Milk." This is the documentary of Harvey Milk, and his struggles as an American gay activist who fought for gay rights and became California's first openly gay elected official. May 24: Roy Zimmerman performs at Maggie O'Neill's Pub - 7:00 PM
What's funny about war, poverty, ignorance, bigotry, neo-conservatism, homophobia, greed, lust and fear? Ask Roy Zimmerman. He's been writing satirical songs for twenty years. Come out and see this funny performance with the group. The pub is located at 1062 Pontiac Road, Drexel Hill, PA (behind JB Dawkins in the Pilgrim Gardens Shopping Center).

June 10: Happy Hour - 7:00 PM - 2312 Garrett Bar
We had suggestions for a happy hour and here it is! We will be meeting at the newest bar in the area to get together and socialize. Word has it that they have some great martinis to quench your thirst!

AUGUST

August 8: Miniature Golf - 2:00 PM - Franklin Square
Join us as we venture to Philly Mini Golf, an 18-hole miniature golf course which is decorated with some of Philadelphia's favorite icons. We will play a round of putt-putt and learn a little history at the same time. Located at 6th and Race Streets Philadelphia, PA 19103. For more information, please check out their web site.
